October 30th News

Notes from the PTA Co-Presidents

Thank you in advance to all the parents, teachers and volunteers for making Willard’s Halloween parade and classroom parties so much fun for our children!

Thank you to those who came out to the Hispanic Heritage celebration this past Friday!   A HUGE thank you to the chairs of this event – Oscar Lopez, Diana Quezada-Henriquez, Leddy Perez, Lorena Beltran, Kaye Tyler and Edie Rubinowitz.  These parents put this event together and we thank them for their time, energy and hard work.  Thank you also to all the parent and staff volunteers who helped out during the event, with set up and with clean up – school-wide events like Hispanic Heritage are only possible with your help!

We hope to see you at our next PTA meeting – it will be Wednesday, November 8th at 7pm in the library.  We will discuss upcoming events – Giving Thanks Gathering, Kids Craft Fair and the winter fundraiser at The Evanston Art Center.  There will also be an update on this year’s Battle of the Books.

Mark your calendars for these upcoming events!

  • Early Dismissal – Wednesday, November 1st
  • Giving Thanks Gathering (1st & 2nd Grade Performances) on Wednesday, November 15th at 6:30pm
  • No School – November 22nd through 24th for Thanksgiving Holiday

Many thanks,
Marjory Oliva and Nancy Gonzalez

SEEKING FRIENDLY FAMILIES!

¡BUSCANDO FAMILIAS AMISTOSAS!
